A tasting room addition for a winery in Newberg, Oregon, imagined as a pavilion set within the lush gardens and vineyards surrounding the winery’s production facilities. Designed for a horticulturalist wine maker and a culinary enthusiast, the pavilion is an experiential filter for daylight, air and Willamette Valley views. The minimal structure has been envisioned as clad in boards of Oregon white oak and blackened cedar, woods local to the winery property.

This unrealized design serves as the spiritual springboard for a new stand-alone winery facility to be built in 2023 on an adjacent portion of the site.
